Summer in Scotland- a Trip to the Charity Shop

Phew, that humidity......where did that snow go?! Something casual and cool to wear, from the local Leith Bernardos.

Off to the National Gallery for tour and writing workshop. You can bump into all sorts of strange people there!!

My friends and neighbours Vicki and Dominic for example.

There was a display of tremendous children's paintings.

Then, after lunch at the Gallery, I trundled off to my new accommodation: 4 Cowgatehead, The Grassmarket. I chose it for the address. Well, that and its perfectness. Here's a view out one of the windows.

This shot is taken with only the ipad, and makes it look dark, though in fact it is well lit and well ventilated.

On the way I watched tourists watching a busking Bagpiper. He'd just turned around as he was finishing. Yes, the tourist on the right IS wearing a full Burkha.

Off to the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra Charity Concert now.

  1. That is a gorgeous frock. Suits you well. Careful, you'll be doing a #flatlay next. But really, love the dress and pleased you're finding so much art and light.
